Traditional British sports
The United Kingdom is historically the creator of a range of international sport, so no wonder the Brits love it so much. It is therefore just as educational to find out about British Sports as visiting must-see attractions.
So, why not participate to a British renowned sport of your choice?
Not only will students learn about how to play specific sports but it will also help them and their teachers to break the routine and enhance team-building. They will also learn vocabulary which can also be found in business such as ‘team’ and ‘coach’.
It’s fun and help students feel more comfortable with other classmates.
Here are few examples of the type of sports we can organise for you:
- Cricket
- Golf
- Rugby
- Lacrosse
Gaelic games are the sports most played in Ireland
Gaelic Football: This is an outdoor sport played with a ball that is smaller than that used in soccer. A team consist of 15 players and a goalkeeper. Players are allowed to carry the ball in their hands and it can be kicked or hand-passed. Matches are played on a pitch that is bigger than that used for soccer and rugby – Goalposts are similar to rugby, with the crossbar slightly lower. A particularly unique sport that combines elements found in other sports like rugby, basketball, volleyball or soccer.
Gaelic Hurling is an outdoor team sport of ancient Gaelic origin. It is played with sticks called hurleys and a ball called a sliotar. The game, played primarily in Ireland, is thought to be the world’s fastest field team sport in terms of game play.
